Many people are familiar with having a puppy or kitten shipped via airplane cargo. However, reptiles are comfortably and safely shipped too!
Shipping reptiles is extremely safe, common practice, and affordable. We charge a flat rate of $60 for shipping, and orders over $500 ship free.
*We do not make any money off shipping prices. On the contrary, we lose money on shipping. We pass on the lowest possible price to our customers so they can receive their dream gecko, no matter where they live in the lower 48 in the US!
Here are some facts about live reptile shipping for those who may be new to the process:
Reptiles are shipped overnight via FedEx. We drop the reptile off before the last pickup (typically 5pm - 7pm), and the reptile should arrive to your FedEx by 8am - 10am the next morning!
Reptiles are shipped in special carboard boxes with 1/2" foam insulation, plenty of padding, and temperature regulation, if needed (warm pack, cold pack, or CryoPak).
Reptiles can only be shipped/received to a FedEx Ship Center ("Hub"). Regular FedEx Print centers will decline the shipment.
Shipping to a FedEx Ship Center (Hub) is far safer for the animal than shipping to a residential address. The Hub will ensure the box is kept in their temperature controlled back room until you pick them up. Bring your valid ID to pickup!
It is important you put the address of your local FedEx hub for the shipping address.
We can ship to residential addresses upon request, but the Live Arrival Guarantee is void due to possible driver delays out of our control.
To find the closest FedEx Hub to you, visit the FedEx Website (https://local.fedex.com/en/ship-center) and select locations that offer both "Hold For Pickup" and "Accepts Dangerous Goods."
